My name is Cindy Friedman, and I want to personally welcome you to Events of the Vine! After relocating to Butte County from the San Francisco Bay Area in 2002, I founded Events of the Vine in order to bring people together and educate them about wine appreciation. I have completed several professional wine studies courses at the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley, California and earned the title Certified Wine Professional in April 2006. In September 2005, I had the pleasure of visiting France and tasted many of the wonderful wines that region has to offer. In the summer of 2006 I plan to visit Spain and do the same thing. I have spent many days in California’s beautiful wine growing regions tasting some of the best wines in the world. Here in Butte County there are many culinary surprises including wine, olive oil, citrus and many different varieties of fruit. I invite you to have me prepare and conduct a custom wine tasting class for an experience that will open up your mind and your palate to the many surprises that wine has to offer. If you prefer, you and your friends may attend one of my wine tasting fundamentals classes held regularly at a local winery or any other wine education event I am offering around the county.
